The Venetian Spirit. Or a Rookie at the tables.

We checked in to our 5 star Hotel located 10 min from the Strip. It was neat but nor a "5 star Hotel?" according to Stolle.

Eleven o'clock (in the evening) it was time to start the grind. We grabbed a cab and went to The Venetian. Well there we sat down at a 10-25 HKD table and bought in for 2 000 HKD
(1 HKD ~ 1 SEK).

I went up and down the whole evening. Played quite bad actually, was not in shape and made about 4 clear mistakes. But I managed to end the session a little bit up after all. Cashed out
2 355 HKD after three hours of play.

"LILLPLUSS"!

Bye Bye Bangkok!

Hey guys! Soon we all gonna fly to Hong Kong. We say goodbye to buckets, riots and flourescent colors and say Hi to frikking high buildings, street food and commuter transportation.

Brawler or Originator? You tell me Freppa.

We are back in Bangkok - The Riot City.

I guess you figured out that I quit my bar job at Phi Phi. Or did they fire me? Anyway, I do not work for the bar anymore :)

To be honest, I really did well in the bar. Got loads of people in and gave them a good time. Me and my companion Harry litteraly killed the street.  Flyers where going in every direction.

The hassle began when I've started to work on own initiative. I filled the front of the bar with beautiful Scandinavian women (of course). After my job with the ladies where done, it was waaaaay easier for me and Harry to get the boys in.

After a while I saw that two of the blondes I've put in the front where bored, so I went to my boss to see if we could do anything to make them stay, maybe throw in some free shots for them. The conversation went like this:

Tom - "Hey, you see the two lovely blondes over there? Do we do anything special for them to make them stay? Like giving them free shots or discounts on drinks?

Boss - "No, don't bother. Just hand out your flyers"

Tom - "Listen, it is way easier for me to get the boys in if they stay"

Boss, now upset - "Look, just be on the street and hand out the flyers. Nothing else"

Tom mumbling - "Fuck it..."

Soon after the blondes left and now me and Harry had a gap to fill. We filled it and then I got my paycheck and left promptly. No goodbye and definitely no nice words crossed between us.

The whole thing reminds me of my former boss, Herr Espmark. He used to tell me "Tom, no own initiative". Of course I didn't listen back then so why should I do it now?

Let my shoes lead my forward and if I step on someones toes I blame them. Don't be in my way stupid.

Over and out
The Originator

Tok-Stolle

It is always fun to see people go crazy when they are on vacation. Here we got a splendid specimen:

My middle finger up

It's time to get the hell out of Phi Phi Island. To much hassle.
Met a lot of old and new friends here but unfortunately some kids are just wankers.

Told some guys to go fuck themselfes and have to avoid some girls as well.

But hey! What a week! Thank you guys, it was awesome. And Greg, jog on.

Fly like a zipper?

I have started to work at a bar in Phi Phi Island. I'm a Bar Promoter. IT'S AWESOME!

The tasks are real simple - Get as much people as possible into the bar and make them have fun and spend money.

Free shots for everyone!

New Crew Member - Mr Stolenberg?

As you could see in the last picture, we got a new member amoung us: Lill-Stolle.

Andreas, the dyslectic older brother, tried to make a taxi sign but failed brutally. I had to step in to seal the deal. How hard can it be to spell your own family name?

Anyways. Here is the happy mf.

He brought some shit from Sweden. THANK YOU! (come again)

My blog = King

Finally they get it! Freebie commercial @ Koh San Road.

And do not miss the strange person talking in his/hers phone.

What's happening?

Back in Phuket Town. Lill-Stolle aka Sebbe arrives tonight. Tomorrow the three of us will travel to Koh Phi Phi.
I definately do not feel like partying. Full Moon took the breath out of me.

But I am pretty sure Sebbe feels the opposite. And of course we gonna support him.
Apparently it is Walpurgis Night today. Hope everyone doing good back home.

As soon as I get a hand on Stolles camera I will post a bunch of photos.

Until then, take care!

Third Strike - Saigon

Hey, hey!
Once again we are back in Saigon. Frikkin wonderful city. Cool, cheap and messy as hell.

I actually had a date last night. I rarely go do dates, I use to find people in the most odd places instead. Often with good laughts as result. Or as Major Chris would put it - With Sexy results!

Anyway, I promised this Vietnamese girl that I'll give her a call when I get back to Saigon. She's a model so it was not that hard to pick up the phone.

We grabbed a pizza and then went to the cinema to catch a movie. After that I gave her a ride home on her bicycle. I should be awarded with a medal or something, the way I handled the night traffic on that tiny bike deserves an award.

Summing-up the date was fun, we were totally lost in translation 90% of the time.

I'm gonna bail out of Vetnam soon so don't worry mom. I don't think she's gonna be my future wife.

Internet - En fluga?

Koh Phangan got the Full Moon Party. With patent and all.

They can handle buckets and fire shows but when it comes to Internet the problems begin.
The line is bad, power failure all the time and to top it off - REAL expensive.

I'll write you guys when I reach Saigon.

Cheers

Born Slippy

Tonight our thoughts goes to Pete Wendt.
He aint with us anymore.

Vi ses i Nangialia.

Bloggtema: Del 7. Luspank vs. Trissmiljonär

Ok. Off to lunch.

Unfortunately everything seemed to be close...? Mid-day aint prime time for wine and dine.
But we found a good noodle bar - Noddi.

Those bastards inside didn't let us take photos! But I ate shrimp springrolls and a noodle dish (surprise!). And a fruitshake.
177 Baht total.

Back to the room for some sleep. The beds were so comfortable that we smiled ourself to sleep.
Here is our view by the way.

And the view at night.

Bloggtema: Del 6. Luspank vs. Trissmiljonär

Alright!!!
We found a luxury hotel at last - Le Meridien.
Pretty, fucking classy!

A signature later and we where in.

Oh. I almost forgot. Let's repeat the rules one more time.
This is the jetset day. La Dolce Vita. 5 000 Baht budget.

The hotel cost 3 200 Baht for 1 night. Divided in two, so 1 600 Baht already gone...
But who cares about money when you see this?

Correct spelling and all! Lovely.

Soaptastic!

Le Meridien got 24 floors. We live on the 23rd. Penthouse suite baby!

We even got a whole wardrobe of cousy clothes. Suit up!

Bloggtema: Del 5. Luspank vs. Trissmiljonär

Alright. We did not get any drinks. We went home do drink in our lovely atmosphere at our Guesthouse instead.

Total cost for the cheap, cheap day  319 Baht = 67 kronor!       Mission accomplished.

In the night we went to check out our luxury stay for tomorrow. Nightmare! Fully booked until the 6th of April. Fuck...

We have to postpone our luxury day until we find a new fancy hotel. A rooftop swimming pool is mandatory.

Stay tuned!

Bloggtema: Del 4. Luspank vs. Trissmiljonär

We like food. Let's eat again. We can afford it.

Pad Thai with chicken 30 Baht. Follow it up with a Thai pancake. Banana and honey. Das lecker!

30 Baht fattigare...

Peace out. A quick shower and then some drinks.

Oh, I bought an Lipton Ice Tea at 7Eleven. 14 Baht.

Budget status: 319 Baht. 181 Baht left...

Bloggtema: Del 3. Luspank vs. Trissmiljonär

We have to do some activities as well. Even with the short budget.

We rock it like Robin Sparkles - Let's go to the mall.

Taxi is expensive (no, not really but we only got 100 kr for the entire day). Tuk-tuk is cheap, especially if you make a deal with the driver and let them take you to a tailor shop before your destination. Stay there for 10 min an the driver get 5 litre of gas. And we got a killer price if we visit two shops. 10 Baht - back and forth.
DEAL!

The mall - MBK

My eyes are bleeding!! Have seen a billion of bright t-shirts, watches and krims krams! Time for dinner.

Sushi - Pick what you like, 10, 15, 17, 19, 27 Baht each according to stickers.

My selection = 75 Baht.

Budget status: 245 Baht
(Room 125 (250/2), Food 25, Watermelon 10, Tuktuk (10/2), Sushi dinner 75)

Bloggtema: Del 2. Luspank vs. Trissmiljonär

Ok. We got a room. Now we need food, so let's hit the streets.

Hey! Look what we found. Nice cars, I like cars. Free motor show. Freebie!

To stick with the plan we eat on the food stands. It's cheap. Real cheap.

30 Baht for a Pad Thai with egg.

Yummy! Scraped the plate.

A nice bite of watermelon as dessert. Gotta love the colour. 10 Baht.

So. Not even 3 0'clock and we already spent 165 Baht!!

Bloggtema: Luspank vs. Trissmiljonär

Hey!
After a night out I got a splendid idea.

Why not live really, really cheap for one day and then live the following day as a true jetseter?
That's fun! Let's go for it!

So I sat up the rules in my head:

  • The budget for the cheap day is 500 Baht (105 kr)
  • The budget for the luxury day is ten times the cheap day = 5 000 Baht (1 050 kr)
  • The budget have to cover all "normal" expenses
    - accommodation, food & beverages, travels and activities
  • Everything has to be documented (of course! This is a blog right?
Ok, lets get started!

Day 1. The biting wind

Woke up and realized that our room right now is far over our set budget. Lets move!
A trip down the street and we found this cosy restaurant/guesthouse.

Right on! We got a room with 2 beds for 250 Baht. 250 / 2 persons = 125 each.
The price is right? Yep, the price is awesome.

On the other hand our room isn't... Not even close. It's small, kinda scrubby and on the fifth floor (no elevator). But if you are poor, you are poor. Deal with it.

Our next door neighbours are from Argentina. Here's one of them - Fernando.

Here's some cool features with our Guesthouse:

Public showers and toilets. Classy!

Chop sticks locks. Super safe!

Ok. Stay tuned for updates.
DO NOT MISS.

Det va öken!

Alright. I know it have been a while. I've been busy. Worked all weekend and then went to Bangkok. But I have to tell you this, it's good.

We figured that we have to see the sand dunes when we was in Mui Ne. Actually it is the only thing to see there.
Up in the morning (04:00 or so) and took a jeep to the dunes. A bumpy ride later we arrived at the first dunes, still dark outside. Now we gonna see the sunset!

Climbed the highest dune and almost died of exhaust. My drinking game dosn't improve my stamina. Gotta get a new workout plan...

Well up the dune we found that we were not alone. A whole bunch of kamikaze paparazzis were already there with their GIANT cameras and objectives. Bummer!

Fortunately I had rented a stjärtlapp so I could try some sand surfing.

Unfortunately plastic on sand do not slide that good....

...but it looks cool!

And here is the sunrise. As if someone cared.

Bye!
